갤러리 진선은 2005년 5월 개관 이후 기획전과 윈도우전을 통해 미술의 대중적인 접근을 시도하고 있다. 기획전은 현대 미술의 다양한 면모를 보여줄 수 있는 전시로 진행되며 각각의 전시는 워크숍, 세미나, 작가와의 만남 등의 프로그램을 함께 열어, 이를 통해 관객들의 적극적인 참여와 작업에 대한 깊이 있는 이해를 돕고 있다.
또한 갤러리 문을 열지 않고도 작품을 감상할 수 있는 새로운 개념의 전시인 윈도우전을 매달 열고 있다. 이 전시는 작가 지원프로그램의 일환으로 운영되는 전시로 젊은 작가들에게는 창작의욕을 고취시키고 관람객들에게는 다양한 장르를 접할 수 있는 전시로 기획되어 윈도우 갤러리를 통해 진행되고 있다. 매달 새롭게 진행되는 윈도우전은 삼청동을 지나다니는 많은 관람객들의 좋은 반응을 얻고 있기도 하다. 이밖에도 진선 북 카페 아트프로젝트 등을 통해 보다 폭넓은 방법으로 대중들이 미술을 접할 수 있는 전시를 기획하고 있다.
Since its opening in May 2005, GalleryJinsun has hosted many Special and Window exhibitions intended to bring art to the public at large. Special exhibitions are designed to show the many facets of contemporary art, engaging the audience with additional programs such as workshops, seminars, and meet-the-artists, inviting you to a deeper understanding of the artists’ work.
Conceived by GalleryJinsun, Window is an exhibition with a new concept that allows people to enjoy the artworks even when the gallery is closed. Part of the gallery’s Artist Support Program, it both motivates young talents and offers the audience an opportunity to appreciate art in many different genres. Coming to the audience with a new exhibition each month on the roadside windows of GalleryJinsun, the Window exhibition is favorably received by those who visit Samcheong-dong area where the gallery is located.
Art Project, shown in Jinsun Book Cafe, is also one of the many different ways through which GalleryJinsun curates exhibitions that take art close to the general public.
