아트스페이스3은 독창적이고 혁신적인 시각으로 다양한 현대 한국 미술을 소개하기 위해 노력하고 있습니다. 숫자 ‘3’은 예술가와 관람객 그리고 갤러리 세 그룹간의 조화와 균형을 지향하는 의미를 담고 있습니다.
서촌의 전시공간은 문화재 전시실과 복층 구조로 연결되어 갤러리 작품뿐만 아니라 16세기 조선시대의 주거형태를 볼 수 있는 독특한 공간입니다. 또한 화이트 벽, 시멘트 벽을 동시에 설치했고, 천정의 높이도 4M와 8M로 다양하고 재미있는 전시가 가능하도록 설계되었습니다.
아트스페이스3은 새롭고 실험적인 작품의 창작활동을 장려하고 예술가들의 목소리가 될 수 있도록 지속적으로 발전해 나갈 것 입니다.
Art Space 3 is committed to introducing a broad spectrum of contemporary Korean arts with a novel and innovative perspective. Number '3' signifies the aim of the gallery to seek a balance and harmony between three groups: the artist, the audience, and the gallery.
The space has a distinguishing exhibition space, marked by a duplex-type structure linking the gallery, and the exhibit space for cultural properties, which invites the audience to see the works in the gallery, and a housing type of sixteenth century Joseon-era at the same time. Moreover, the space, consisting of the walls of various finishes—white, and cement—and the ceilings with different heights of four or eight meters, is designed to enable a wide variety of exhibitions.
Art Space 3 will continue to promote the creation of new and experimental works, and endeavor to become the cultural voice of artists.
